OptiMSM Certified Free of Banned Substances

OptiMSM, from Vancouver, WA-based Bergstrom Nutrition has been officially registered with Informed-Sport and Informed-Choice as free from banned substances.

Bergstrom Nutrition has conducted research focused on exercise models that demonstrate OptiMSM’s ability to reduce oxidative stress and pain associated with physical training. According to the company, OptiMSM is the only MSM that is designated as Generally Recognized As Safe (GRAS) by FDA, and is approved for use in a wide variety of products, including supplements, nutrition bars and beverages.

Informed-Sport and Informed-Choice are globally recognized quality-assurance programs that certify specific lots of food supplements and ingredients are free of banned substances found on the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List, as well as lists from organizations such as the NFL, NCAA and MLB. The standard supplement-screening test covers 146 substances that are prohibited in sport.

Bergstrom Nutrition’s exclusive European distributor, Gee Lawson Ltd. will be the first to offer OptiMSM with the Informed-Sports certification to its customers this summer.
